Enjoy a long, lazy lunch at The Pressing Shed where you relax with friends on the deck under the grapevine, surrounded by olive trees and fruit trees and overlooking the beautiful Tambo Valley.
The Pressing Shed is just three kilometres off the Great Alpine Road at Tongio, between Swift’s Creek and Omeo.
The food is eclectic and varied, very much dictated by what is growing in the organic garden at any given time. The one constant is their own award-winning Nullamunjie extra virgin olive oil which enhances every dish which leaves the kitchen.
Their passion is olive oil and they are always happy to answer questions and show visitors how olive oil is made, by explaining the pressing process illustrated by their own olive press.
The Pressing Shed was unfortunately forced to close at Christmas due to bushfire activity in East Gippsland, but will be re-opening for Labour Day weekend on 6 and 7 March. It will then be open every weekend thereafter until Easter, when it traditionally closes to harvest the olives. It will then re-open for the season in October.
Opening hours are 10:00am until 4:00pm, Saturdays and Sundays. To make a booking please call the number provided.
