Eldercare Elanora

Eldercare Elanora was built on Stansbury's southern parklands as Elanora SYP Homes in 1967. Eldercare commenced management of the facility in 2006 and in July 2012 assumed ownership of the homes which were subsequently renamed Eldercare Elanora. Elanora underwent a significant refurbishment in 2002. Elanora is situated close to the main foreshore at Stansbury - a charming seaside town on Yorke Peninsula. The facility enjoys a relaxed beachside atmosphere and is only a short walk to shops and local facilities. Elanora consists of five wings all with single rooms and ensuites. The site has landscaped gardens raised gardens beds for resident use an internal courtyard pergola and BBQ area. There are extensive lawn areas allowing residents and visitors to enjoy uninterrupted views of Gulf St Vincent. Meals are cooked onsite daily by a chef. A continental breakfast is provided Monday - Saturday with a cooked breakfast offered on Sundays. There is a choice of two courses for lunch and three courses for evening meal. An internet kiosk is available to assist residents to maintain relationships with families and friends particularly with those who live interstate or overseas. Our chaplain provides emotional and spiritual support for residents and their families. GPs podiatrists physiotherapists audiologists speech pathologists and massage therapists all visit regularly to provide comprehensive medical services to our residents. Elanora holds monthly entertainment days and also tailors its lifestyle program to individual requirements. Our woodworking group is popular with both male and female residents who often collaborate on projects. The Yorketown Library visits monthly as well as providing a selection of books on site for residents to borrow. An established volunteer team enhances the care provided by professional staff. Local volunteer groups the Sing As We Go singers and Pioneer Performers provide entertainment to our residents at special concerts. Staff members also volunteer their personal time to visit their 'buddy' residents and provide one-on-one person-centred care such as assistance with letter writing or a trip to the shops. Held every November the Elanora Garden Party is a popular community fundraising event.
