The Aged Care Service is a Commonwealth funded residential care facility. This consists of 18 residential care beds. We supply a 24 hour nursing service and focus on a rural friendly environment with a variety of lifestyle programs (social / leisure activities.)
This is achieved through home cooked meals and a farm like court yard with interactive activities where residents can catch up with family and friends. Supporting this is a weekly interdenominational church service a visiting shopping trolley managed by the Hospital Auxiliary and an active volunteer group.
We have recently established a beauty salon serviced by a visiting hairdresser and this area is also utilised for manicures and services by the podiatrist. Keith and District Hospital Aged Care Services also provide respite care (short-term accommodation). This provides temporary relief to carers to take some time out or catch a well earned break.
Keith and District Hospital will continue to strive to uphold our vision; to provide care that’s based on innovation excellence and customer focus. Our goal is to provide an appropriately resourced integrated quality service that is flexible equitable that recognizes diversity promotes choice and shows respect for both consumers and workers.
We still endeavour to offer all residents a home-like environment together with activities that will enhance their quality of life.
