Servite Villa was opened in 1979 and consists of a 32 bed low care facility and 24 independent living units.
Each room in the care facility has built-in robes and there is a shared toilet between two rooms and communal bathrooms. Residents are responsible for their own private telephone connection however a public telephone is available in the facility. There are several lounge areas, a communal dining room, a community room and a small chapel. The facility has attractive grounds with barbecue facilities available for families to use.
Services offered
Physiotherapy and occupational therapy assessments are carried out on site and treatment is provided as required. A podiatrist and hairdresser also visit the facility on a regular basis with costs being borne directly by the resident. Bus trips are held each week free of cost to the hostel residents.
Residents are encouraged to choose their own doctor who will be asked to visit according to the needs of the resident. Residents' medications and medical items are supplied by a local pharmacy and they receive their own monthly accounts from the pharmacy.
Catholic Mass and Communion Service are held on Sundays. The Rosary is said daily in the chapel. Anglican services are held fortnightly.
Public transport
The bus stops right outside the front door of Servite Villa enabling residents to take regular trips to the city.
