Churches of Christ Care Engelsburg Aged Care Service Kalbar is located in the township of Kalbar (Kalbar was originally named Engelsburg) and is part of Churches of Christ Care Fassifern Aged Care Service Boonah. Engelsburg Aged Care Service Kalbar is built in keeping with the rural community and residential setting in which it is located. The landscaped gardens, including the in-ground fish pond and outdoor walkways, create an inviting welcome to all.

Accommodation facilities

Engelsburg Aged Care Service provides low care (hostel) accommodation for 10 residents in a ‘house model' home. The facility is designed to promote a home-like environment where residents are encouraged to maintain their independence. The house provides residents with the privacy of individual rooms, which all have ensuite facilities, and the facility is climate controlled for residents' comfort. Residents are encouraged to individualise their rooms with their personal belongings.

The ambience of a home-like environment is enhanced with a wood burning heater in the family room. The homestyle kitchen is where all meals are prepared and served in the spacious family rooms. The lounge room, private dining room and solarium provide ample provision for residents to maintain their contact with family and friends in private surroundings.
