A magnificent rose garden greets the arrival of visitors and guests at Meilene, home to 52 residents in Bundaberg.

Meaning ‘welcome', Meilene is the name of the homestead which originally stood on the property.

About our Community

Meilene consists of four different ‘houses' each with a comfortable lounge and sitting area, a dining room and kitchen.

Two of the properties contain 10 single rooms with ensuites with the remaining two homes accommodating 16 residents all featuring garden views. Meilene also provides a low-care respite bed available as a single room with an ensuite.

The rooms are large and boast ample storage for residents. For peace of mind, the rooms at Meilene are fitted with an emergency call system. Television and telephone outlets are standard fixtures in every room.

Meilene's diversional therapy team offers residents access to a wide range of activities and outings. The activities schedule is changed regularly to ensure variety and is especially designed to complement the care needs and specific interests of our residents.

The facilities at Meilene include a canteen, laundry, hairdressing salon, physiotherapist and podiatrist. Anglican Church services are conducted on-site with other denominations catered for upon request.

Anglicare Southern Queensland offers spiritual and pastoral care for both our residents and their families.
