Agmaroy Nursing Home

Agmaroy is a fully accredited residential facility offering permanent and respite accommodation for both high and low care residents.

The high care wing continues its long standing reputation of providing quality care in a warm, friendly environment and includes a dementia specific wing. The low care wing offers single and twin share rooms with ensuites, with many of the rooms opening to a personal outdoor area. Married couples can be accommodated in the twin rooms. The facility allows for ageing in place, thus minimising disruption as care needs increase. The 24 hour care provided at Agmaroy by Registered Nurses and carers is complemented by a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Podiatrist, Therapy Assistants and Activity Coordinators. An Optometrist, Dentist and Hairdresser visit the facility regularly. Clergy of diverse religions and cultures also attend.

Resident activities include a regular walking group, swimming group, Family Fun Day, Men's Group, pampering sessions, visiting pets, movies and concerts, shopping trips, bus trips, picnics, seniors' games, craft activities, reminiscence and of course, bingo and table games.

All meals are prepared on site and residents are offered a daily choice from a varied menu. A Dietitian visits regularly and has a major input into the menu choices and also assesses individual requirements where indicated.

Family and friends are considered paramount to the residents' wellbeing and are encouraged to continue to play a major role. Visiting hours are unlimited and visitors are welcomed for meals, outings, activities and special events.
